Do you feel tired and exhausted all the time? Do you feel as if no amount of sleep can fully rejuvenate you? When you constantly feel fatigued it could be that your body is trying to tell you something. I had written on some reasons you feel like crap daily.
Here are some reasons you could be feeling tired and exhausted all the time
You need to eat better
Are you so busy that you hardly have time to sit down for a decent meal? Your feeding habits can make you feel lethargic sometimes. When you don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables, your body will take the hit. A lot of junk food will exhaust your body as the sugars and fats are not easy to digest. Eating a good meal filled with fruits and vegetables will help you improve your energy, digestion, immune system, and overall how you feel most of the time.
You are fatigued at work
If you work for days on end without taking a break, the fatigue can be bad for your body. Sometimes you could be feeling tired and exhausted and a night’s rest is not sufficient to make you feel better. In such cases, you need to take a few days to rest, relax your mind and let your body rebuild itself. Mental fatigue can also wear down your body whereby your stresses affect your appetite and feeding habits making you feel worst. Take a few days to get your body and mind from work and appreciate the refreshing feeling that comes with it.
You are not moving enough
Your body needs to be moved often. Recently, a lot of us have been working from home and we may realize that a week can go by before we take on any activity. When you don’t get some form of exercise, chances are your body will weaken with time and you are likely to be drained by the littlest activities. Exercises help strengthen your muscles, your heart, your mind, and even your immune system. Try to move a bit in your day. You can track your movements using a fitness band and set a step goal that you can aim to achieve each day.
Repair your relationships
The kind of relationships around you affects your mood and emotions. Are you working around coworkers that are draining you? Are you working with difficult people? Are you in a toxic relationship that is affecting your wellbeing? All kinds of relationships, whether it is with parents, coworkers or partners can affect our day. Some relationships can be extremely exhausting and can make you tired all day yet you have not done anything predictable.
When you constantly get into fights with those around you, you tend to feel irritable and this can be exhausting. Try to repair the relationships around you and avoid those who ruin your mood. You will come to appreciate your day much more.
You don’t hydrate enough
Your body runs on water. Water is your fuel. When you don’t fuel enough, chances are your body will feel tired. Hydrate, hydrate! Ensure that you have water around you all the time such that you can easily reach out and take a sip. With the right amounts of hydration, your mind is clearer, you feel better and healthier and therefore more energetic.
You are unwell
When you feel tired and exhausted all the time and all remedies can’t seem to work, it could be that you are unwell. Fatigue is one common symptom of many illnesses. If fatigue is accompanied by other symptoms such as nausea, headaches, joint pains, breathing challenges among others, you can see a doctor. Some of these symptoms could be an indication of an underlying issue that needs to be addressed.
You are not sleeping well
Lack of sleep or lack of quality sleep can leave you feeling tired and exhausted all day. When you don’t sleep well, your body is not well-rested and therefore not well rejuvenated to take on the activities of the following day. Lack of proper sleep can also make you cranky, cause headaches, and long-lasting lethargy.
In such cases, try to learn some tricks on how to sleep better. You can try some teas to make you sleep better or seek professional help to help you sleep better.
Something is bothering you
When you have some unresolved issues going on in your life, chances are they will weigh you down. Constant thinking about something you cannot resolve can be exhausting. For example, a bad boss at work can exhaust you since you feel there is nothing you can do about your situation and yet you still need to go to work. Other unresolved issues such as money issues, emotional abuse, and hostile work environments among others can bother you so much that they affect your energy.
You lack some basic nutrients
Vitamin deficiency can leave you feeling exhausted all the time. Low levels of vitamin D, B-12, iron, or magnesium can affect your wellbeing. Thankfully, some supplements can help you up to your vitamins and improve your wellbeing. An all-in-one vitamin tablet is a good place to start before you get to understand which vitamins your body needs more. You can also get nutrients from some foods such as green leafy vegetables, fruits, carrots, salads, among others.
Hormonal changes
Our body hormones change from time to time. When you are expecting your period, when pregnant, undergoing menopause, or for some other reasons in our bodies. Hormonal changes can make you experience unexplainable fatigue. In cases of unexplained hormonal changes, you can get checked for hormonal imbalances and seek ways to regulate your hormones. Seed cycling has been claimed as one way to regulate hormonal imbalance that you can look into.
You need a lifestyle change
If your lifestyle involves a lot of drinking, smoking, and simply indulging in such activities, chances are that this will exhaust you. In your early twenties, you can easily drink and feel as fresh as a newborn the next day. However, as you grow older, a drink on a workday can ruin your whole week.
Take a look at your lifestyle and identify possible lifestyle choices that are leaving you tired and exhausted all the time. Make some changes and realize you will feel more energetic.
